The 6th Korea Freedom Federation New Zealand Delegation for Homeland Study Tour

The Homeland Study Tour delegation consisted of 32 overseas Korean students from countries including Germany, New Zealand, the United States, Australia, France, Laos, Canada, India, and Indonesia, as well as MZ generation members of the recently launched Korea Junior Freedom Federation.

Beginning with an opening ceremony on August 2, the delegation participated in various activities such as visits to the National Cemetery, government institutions including the Presidential Office, tours of the Blue House and the DMZ for security education, and security lectures. Through exchanges with Junior Freedom Federation members, the participants expressed their reflections on the homeland tour by writing essays, creating and presenting short videos.

Following the closing ceremony, delegation members Jang Yun-hye-rin from India and Jung Woo-jin from the United States joined President Kang Seok-ho in a YouTube broadcast to candidly share their experiences and impressions during the homeland study tour.

At the closing ceremony, President Kang Seok-ho of the Federation emphasized the significance of the visit by stating, “We hope that through this homeland study tour, you can once again reflect on your Korean identity and feel proud of your motherland.” He further urged, “The Korea Freedom Federation will continue to serve as a foundation for young overseas Koreans to grow as global leaders, and we ask the delegates to become civilian ambassadors who contribute to enhancing Korea’s national prestige.”
