On the 27th, the Korea Junior Freedom Federation Busan Chapter (Chairman Shin Han-chun) hosted an exchange meeting at DW International Logistics Center in Changwon, Gyeongnam, inviting executive members from its overseas sister chapters: the LA Chapter (Chairwoman Lana Choi), the New Zealand Chapter (Chairman Ho-hyun Son), and the Houston Chapter (Chairman Ok-bin Gil) to express gratitude.
This meeting was arranged for overseas chapter executives who had come to Korea for the Korea Freedom Federation’s 71st Anniversary National Convention held on the 25th at BEXCO, Busan, serving as a moment to reaffirm international cooperation for the shared value of protecting liberal democracy.
The meeting was personally hosted by Shin Han-chun, chairman of DW International Logistics Center and Busan Chapter leader, and featured in-depth discussions on strengthening continuous friendship and cooperation between domestic and international chapters. DW International Logistics Center is a global logistics hub managing imported goods and exhibits from around the world, representing the Korea Freedom Federation’s vision of building diverse international networks.
Since signing a sisterhood agreement in 2019, the Busan and LA chapters have maintained active exchanges through events like the LA Chapter inauguration and various campaigns to promote mutual development. In December 2023, the New Zealand Chapter also established a sisterhood agreement, expanding global cooperation. Recently, the Houston Chapter has further strengthened its solidarity with the Busan Chapter, especially following the Busan convention.
Chairman Shin Han-chun expressed his sincere thanks to Chairwoman Lana Choi of the LA Chapter and all executives from overseas chapters including New Zealand and Houston for their consistent attendance at events, acknowledging their dedication to upholding and spreading the values of liberal democracy even from afar. He added, “We hope this exchange meeting will serve as a foundation to enhance international bonds and develop into a global cooperation model that contributes to protecting liberal democracy, national security, and global peace.”
Meanwhile, the Korea Junior Freedom Federation continues to operate various programs domestically and internationally aimed at protecting the values of liberal democracy, fostering youth security awareness, and encouraging responsible global citizenship. The Busan Chapter plans to lead efforts to realize these values not only within domestic chapters but also through broad solidarity with overseas sister chapters.
